Technical Writer - Leviton Manufacturing Company : Job Details

Create effective technical copy to support new product and change management projects that is in line with corporate and branding standards. Collaborate with product engineering, product management, application engineering and other business unit personnel as necessary in finalizing optimal technical copy. Participate in brainstorming sessions with project team members to develop creative approaches and concepts for assigned projects; provide content and design suggestions and create materials as needed. Assist in the layout of instruction sheets, collaborating with technical illustrators and artists. Collaborate with legal department in the specification of warning statements into instructions as they relate to the safety of use and installation of the relevant product. Proofread and edit all intermediate steps between preliminary layout to production ready documents. Work with translation agencies in the request and receipt of technical translations per project requirements.
