Position Summary and Objective
The Technical Systems Engineer will own their work and contribute to the organization's growth as we scale into a truly global provider of electronic security services, providing turnkey, white glove services to our clients. They will plan, execute, monitor, control, and deliver projects from start to finish, utilizing their technical skills and experience in the electronic security industry. The role is customer-facing, results-driven, and focused on ensuring the protection of people, property, and products.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Ensure all installation and service projects are managed according to Global Guardian Asset Security Technology policies and procedures.Support and manage subcontractors and trade partners.Prepare, monitor, and manage project plans; provide training as needed.Manage client expectations and contractual obligations.Perform installation and service of video, access control, locking hardware, intrusion, intercom, and other low voltage systems as per project scope.Configure, test, and commission network and communications equipment to ensure connectivity for monitoring.Maintain high-level knowledge of IP Video Surveillance Systems, Access Control Systems, and related technologies.Coordinate with voice, telecommunications, and network personnel to support hardware, services, and vendors.Support special projects as required.Complete additional tasks as assigned.Provide on-call support and respond remotely or on-site as necessary.Competencies and Attributes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience in developing professional relationships.Ability to maintain composure under pressure with authorities, clients, and staff.Strong multitasking skills.Ability to write technical documentation, interpret instructions, and analyze data.Qualifications and Education
At least 5 years of experience in the electronic security field as a technician.High school diploma or GED; a bachelor's degree is preferred.Experience traveling to sites and maintaining reliable transportation.Knowledge of firewalls and networking equipment (routers and switches).Proven ability to organize and complete projects effectively.Position Type and Schedule
Full-Time (RFT).Availability 24/7 for client tasks.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.Flexible scheduling as needed.Work Environment and Physical Demands
The role requires physical and mental capacity to perform essential functions, including:
