Overview

We're seeking a Technical System Administrator to join our IT Support team in Louisville, KY. This role is fully onsite and will support a large, enterprise-level environment with a mix of desktop, network, and warehouse systems. The ideal candidate has strong customer service instincts, enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, and thrives in a fast-paced environment supporting business-critical operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical support for hardware, software, and warehouse systems to ensure business continuity.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for Tier 1/Tier 2 issues and mentor junior technicians.
  • Manage desktop and endpoint support, minor server/network administration, and system documentation.
  • Define and maintain standard operating procedures for troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
  • Handle PC/iPad procurement, distribution, recovery, and disposal while maintaining asset records in the CMDB.
  • Monitor and manage ServiceNow incidents/requests, ensuring timely triage, escalation, and resolution.
  • Support and maintain audio/visual equipment and warehouse automation technologies.
  • Collaborate across IT teams to resolve complex issues and coordinate enterprise IT initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with security and end-of-life standards for all equipment and software.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation providing after-hours support when needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–7 years of experience in IT support, network troubleshooting, or systems administration.
  • Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing) and basic server support.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and ServiceNow ITSM tools.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
  • Preferred certifications: A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL, or Microsoft MCP/MCSE.
