Technical Sourcing Manager - JMI Recruiting Services, LLC : Job Details

We are currently assisting our client, an industrial manufacturer, with a Technical Sourcing Manager search in the Cleveland, OH area.

This position offers flexibility to work in a hybrid model, or 100% onsite in Cleveland, Ohio

Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering efforts to achieve competitive costs, quality components, and timely production launch milestones throughout the New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle.
• Collaborate on initial designs and establish/improve supplier processes, focusing on value engineering (VAVE) initiatives to reduce procurement costs while maintaining quality standards.
• Oversee the development of a robust process for supplier engineering requests, ensuring all quoting requirements are met and fostering communication between engineering, Global Sourcing, and suppliers.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment on technical specifications, design for value objectives, best-cost pricing, lead times, and contractual terms for NPD procurement discussions.
• Identify alternative sourcing solutions for obsolete or single-sourced materials to support continuous production and drive collaboration with teams to optimize material costs and enhance supplier relationships

Requirements:

• Progressive experience in a technical role, enhanced by expertise in procurement and sourcing in manufacturing settings.
• Advanced user of SAP, Excel, power point and databases
• Understanding of Supply Chain Management best practices
