    Req#: 22-00392Job DescriptionTitle: Technical Solution Architect Network/SecurityLocation: Rochester, NY (hybrid)Type: Full-time/Direct HireDescription:The Technical Solution Architect Network/Security position will join our client's Presales team and work closely with our client's sales team as their technical partners in all the phases of the sales process - from evangelizing and demonstrating the technology to prospects, to answering any technical questions around their solutions and how they solve business problems. The presales team plays a vital role not only with respect to revenue generation and our client's reputation in the marketplace. They are the frontline evangelists, the direct line to their customers.General Role Requirements
    • Align with appropriate sales geography to represent our solutions.
    • Use knowledge of technology, products, processes, industry expertise and consultative sales skills to assess and educate customers on value of our solutions.
    • Use knowledge and understanding of our OEM partners, Professional and Managed Services and other relevant technologies to articulate the features and benefits of our solutions credibly and persuasively to the customer.
    • Build in-depth knowledge of clients' technical and business priorities, challenges and initiatives that can be translated into solution opportunities.
    • Conduct in-person and virtual presentations to clients.
    • Act as the technical lead on complex proposals; conduct final review, edit proposals and approve technical content.
    • Develop successful relationships with sales team, partners and customers.
    • Deliver quality documentation to support pre-sales efforts, including solution Bill of Materials, Configurations, Diagrams and Proposals.
    • Develop and propose technology solutions that meet customers' needs and functional requirements and are in alignment with customer strategy, delivery capabilities, and OEM partner relationships.
    • Be available for some travel, typically 20% of time or less, and typically limited to short-duration trips for customer appointments and longer trips for training and/or conferences.
    • Maintain and develop general and specific skills / certifications.
    Technical RequirementsNOTE: Presales experience is NOT required. Ideal candidates will have held Network Administrator, Architect/Engineer roles who have strong client facing skills.Required Skills
    • LAN, WAN, Wireless Solutions (Aruba, HPE, Cisco, Arista or other similar)
    • Next Gen Firewalls ( Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco or other similar)
    • Network Access Control (Aruba ClearPass, Cisco ISE)
    Desired Skills (not required)
    • Secure Remote Access solutions (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco)
    • EDR and MDR/ XDR solutions
    • SD-WAN platforms
    • Virtual Networking solutions (VMware NSX, VXLAN/GENEVE, ACI)
    • Public/Hybrid Cloud Solutions (AWS, Azure)
    • Patch and/or Vulnerability Management solutions
    • SIEM / Logging
    • Automation / Network Automation (SOAR, Ansible)
    • DDI (Infoblox)
    • Network observability tools & strategies
    Core Competencies
    • Must have the ability to actively listen to others and articulate ideas verbally and in writing to any audience.
    • Ability to think on your feet and articulate thoughts in an organized manner even when not prepared for the discussion or situation you are in.
    • Demonstrate a willingness to embrace new systems, processes, technology, and ideas.
    • Must be able to work effectively with those with different skill sets, personalities, or motivation level to achieve a better team result.
    • Thoroughly accomplish tasks with concern for all the areas involved.
    • Build and maintain client satisfaction with the products and services offered by the organization; provide excellent services to client.
    • Build in-depth knowledge of clients' technical and business priorities, challenges, and initiatives that can be translated into opportunities in alignment with our client strategy, delivery capabilities, and OEM partner relationships.
    • Industry technical certifications in line with specializations, such as ACDX, ACMX, ACDP, ACCP, CCIE, CCNP, CISSP, PCNSE or NSE 4+ are highly preferred
