Solve challenging engineering problems involving products, systems, and components using advanced simulation techniques and analysis. Responsibilities include:

• Accountable for delivering timely, high-quality estimates and proposals to stakeholders
• Review customer drawings and specifications and provide clarifications, exceptions, and deviations as required with bids
• Recognize which products should be offered based on the customer's request for quote
• Develop sales proposals
• Collaborate with customers and sales team to scope and estimate projects that meet the needs of the end users
• Keep up-to-date on new technologies and drive continuous improvement to established techniques, processes, and procedures
• As quotes become orders, create the order entry tasks necessary to facilitate the transfer of the project to the project execution teams
• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum

Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

• Accurately estimates projects using single line diagrams, specifications and risk
• Learns from mistakes and applies lessons learned
• Develops and uses checklists to ensure that information goes out error-free

Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

• Approaches a situation or problem by defining the problem or issue and determining its significance

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

• Delivers timely and clear proposals to our external customers and clean order entry packages to our internal customers
• Listens to feedback without defensiveness and uses it for own communication effectiveness

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

• Organizes potential problem solvers and leads problem resolution efforts
• Contributes to standard practices for problem-solving approaches, tools, and processes

Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

• Provides effective technical solutions to customers challenges via sound technical competence, effectively leveraging experience or technical resources within team or applications teams
• Effectively performs the technical job aspects, continuously building knowledge and keeping up-to-date on technical and process components
• Helps others solve customer challenges or needs

Summary Pay Range: $95,640.00 - $143,520.00
