The Technical Recruiter will primarily be responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent and pipeline development for specific requisitions as needed. Additionally, the Technical Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing of general positions across the company through various search engines and job boards, engagement in the communities surrounding Amteck offices to include trade schools, colleges, universities, and various other career fairs throughout the year, and identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent for various other requisitions across the company as the needs arise. The best fit candidate for this position will have a proven track record of working independently and demonstrated trustworthiness. The Technical Recruiter will have the ability to adjust recruiting tactics and techniques to meet the needs of the business, and will remain flexible to the ever changing needs of the business. Strong communication skills are a must have, and the ability to maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations is necessary.

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and an aptitude for learning new recruiting tools and exploring new recruiting tactics

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with hiring managers and discuss qualifications of open positions, interview availability, fulfillment goals and deadlines, feedback on candidates and employee onboarding. Focus on providing quality support for the hiring manager while providing a rewarding experience for the candidate.

  • Create clear, strategic plans in order to fill assigned positions in the shortest amount of time with the best candidate possible. Make adjustments to strategy as needed to fill the position.

  • Possess the ability to develop pipeline strategies for executive, senior, and mid level management roles. Maintain contact with prospective candidates

  • Gain a clear understanding at the beginning of assigned electrical contract projects of the projected manpower needs. Identify key areas of concern in regards to staffing: laws regarding licensing/employment, core crew, schedule, manpower volume, GC requirements etc.

  • Source, screen and identify candidates for all roles within Amteck that meet the job requirements and company culture. Utilize ATS system and proper documentation techniques for efficient recruiting.

  • Ensure the employee onboarding process is initiated and completed correctly for each hire. Focus on creating the best candidate and new employee experience possible while meeting the needs of the hiring manager and streamlining the back-end processes for the HR Coordinator.

  • Coordinate with field supervision, operations team and recruiting team to demobilize electrical contract projects and transfer existing employees to other openings within Amteck. Ensure procedures are followed during the demobilization process: employee information is updated in COINS, employee evaluation is completed by Superintendent, employee tracking spreadsheet is updated with their availability and other relevant information, and maintain communication with the employee until they are successfully transitioned to another member of the recruiting team or management team.

  • Provide assistance and guidance to Amteck hiring managers regarding hiring, management and termination of employees as needed.

  • Educate all Amteck employees on company policies and procedures and collaborate with other HR team members to enforce policy when needed.

  • Provide advice and counsel to managers and supervisors regarding employee relation best practices, policy and employment laws.

  • Responsible for accurate, compliant completion and execution of contracts with staffing vendors. Focus on partnering with HR team members and accounting team members to streamline the process as much as possible. Work with Purchasing to set up new vendors in COINS. Establish and enforce efficient invoicing and payroll processes with the staffing vendor.

  • Provide assistance and support to all Amteck employees when needed to the highest degree of customer service possible while upholding company values and culture.
