Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Project Manager to support land-based drilling projects for municipal water well drilling. This role will play a critical part in ensuring Control Systems are programmed and automated for the highest level of efficiency, safety, and quality standards. You will work with SCADA and PLC systems, applying your technical expertise, while contributing to project oversight in budget, schedule, delivery, and production sustainability.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical guidance, oversight, and hands-on maintenance and repairs to PLCs and SCADA systems in drilling and pump rig operations across the territory.Track project progress, identify and mitigate potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company protocols.Analyze project-related data and generate reports as required.Continuously improve project management processes and identify opportunities for optimization.Meet regularly with managers and teams at our Central Texas headquarters in Creedmoor, TX.Travel to client sites for key project milestones, resolving barriers and managing safety and health issues.Our Core Values:

Qualifications:
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related engineering or technical field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in PLC programming, maintenance, SCADA systems, and control panel support.
- Experience in project engineering, coordination, or management.
- Background in the drilling industry (water well, oil & gas, etc.).
- Proven success in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specifications.
- Understanding of land-based drilling operations and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Atlassian tools, Primavera).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel, including overnight stays.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, salaried position with an annual bonus based on performance. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, holidays, vacation, and ongoing training. Salary range: $75K - $90K annually, commensurate with experience. Training will be provided to ensure your success.
