Technical Project Manager – Enterprise IT / Studio Technology

Optomi, in partnership with a leader within the entertainment industry, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join a high-impact team supporting studio technology operations onsite in Burbank. In this role, you'll work on a mix of traditional infrastructure projects, ticket management, and tech rollouts in a fast-paced studio production environment. You'll collaborate closely with helpdesk teams, engineering, and post-production groups to ensure technical continuity across multiple concurrent initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead 5+ concurrent tech initiatives across IT Infrastructure and Post-Production Engineering.
  • Manage project lifecycles from intake through execution, delivery, and post-mortems.
  • Facilitate sprint ceremonies (planning, standups, retrospectives), and manage Agile/waterfall processes.
  • Support stakeholders including live production and studio operations teams.
  • Prioritize and escalate operational tasks, blockers, and resourcing needs.
  • Maintain and present KPI dashboards using PowerBI for executive-level reporting.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment of timelines, deliverables, and roadmaps.
  • Serve as resource manager across assigned team(s), forecasting capacity and ensuring velocity.
  • Manage documentation, workflows, and project artifacts using Smartsheet, Visio, and MS Project.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline
  • 3–7 years of technical project management experience (Agile & Waterfall)
  • 5+ years leading technical or operations teams
  • Experience in large enterprise environments
  • Strong background in Smartsheet, PowerPoint/Keynote, and Visio
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
  • Solid understanding of IT operations or software development processes

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience supporting live or post-production studio environments
  • Familiarity with Avid, sound engineering, or union/trade collaboration
  • PMP or ScrumMaster certification
  • Prior work with union-based or entertainment tech teams
