Who will you be working with?

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will work directly with customers and Wabtec resources across the company. Specifically, internal groups include: various Product Engineering groups, Product Line Management, Sales, Contracts Management, Release Management, and others as needs warrant.

How will you make a difference?

The TPM will advocate for Wabtec with the customer and be an ardent advocate for the customer within Wabtec. The primary objective is to provide customer-valued service as set forth in established Service support agreements.

What do we want to know about you?

Minimum Requirements:

  • Four years experience in technical project management and support or related field support.
  • Ability to lead, drive, and track progress of multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to influence and drive results with stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop high levels of credibility and positive relationships with customers and coworkers.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate clearly and concisely, tailored to audience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical/business-related field, Engineering or Sciences preferred. Non-degreed candidates with Military experience or advanced industrial experience in Project Management will be considered.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of fundamental railroad maintenance, operations, or train dispatching.
  • PTC experience.
  • Commitment to improvement and continuous learning.
  • Highly motivated with a strong customer service mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Work closely with the Customer to identify top priority items and initiatives and champion these by coordinating analysis and issue resolution with internal teams.
  • Convey priority for troubleshooting, communicate customer impact, and coordinate with support teams.
  • Maintain, communicate, and update the status of action items, ensuring closure to customer satisfaction.
  • Work with Engineering, Operations, and Mechanical teams to track and report performance metrics and prepare reports.
  • Manage contract budget, cost, and revenue, ensuring resource availability and reporting financial status.
  • Participate in discussions about future services contracts and develop proposals and deal reviews.
  • Identify and promote value-added maintenance service offerings to expand contract value.
  • Manage complex processes involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Communicate with peers on issues, opportunities, and improvements.
  • Plan and instruct internal and external training programs as needed.
  • Manage and track customer issues using Salesforce.
