Overview

Herzog Technologies Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager in St. Joseph, MO to join our team and support our software development initiatives. In this role, you will bridge the gap between our technology teams and railroad operations, ensuring that our software solutions meet the unique demands of the rail industry while being delivered on schedule and within budget.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with engineering teams
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, development, and QA
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and dependencies across multiple workstreams
  • Drive technical decision-making processes and architecture discussions
  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and development teams
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including status reports for senior leadership
  • Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog's Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in product management or technical project management
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Solid technical background with an understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Background in software development preferred.
  • Experience in the transportation, logistics, or railroad industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence tools preferred.
  • Experience in construction, railroad, or transit industries preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
  • Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen.
  • Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
