In this role, you have the opportunity to:

Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment to further Mercury Systems' advanced, custom microelectronics solutions by leading engineering project developments and executions from requirements definition, through new product introduction. You'll work with an excellent, multi-disciplined team, to exceed expectations for our commercial, industrial, and military customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Technical Project Management for the engineering team focusing on the engineering teams required deliverables and milestones for an on-time delivery.
  • Communicate key deliverables, issues and opportunities between engineering, planning, operations, quality, program management and supply chain departments
  • Primary point of contact for engineering requirements, schedule, and deliverables
  • Manage and prioritize engineering tasks through the utilization of MS Project, JIRA and Confluence tools
  • Monitor/measure engineering performance, cost, and spending through implementation and maintenance of engineering metrics
  • Coordinate with procurement and vendors on statement of work, quotations, and purchase orders for engineering materials and labors and to ensure timely delivery of materials or services
  • Support identification of required resources (e.g. people, equipment, and lab space) and provide resource forecasts for ongoing and future programs
  • Chair lessons learned and risk management workshops for engineering throughout product development cycle
  • Support Engineering Playbook efforts in developing and implementing common process and tools
  • Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to managing projects to ensure the cross-functional team adheres to the proposed plan for unit production schedule, budget, resource allocation, and customer interfacing.

The Mercury Microsystems team responsible for the rapid development of affordable, chip-scale, secure, open system architecture devices. This leading-edge capability also addresses a need by the Department of Defense (DoD) for made-in-USA microelectronics that equip our warfighters with state-of-the-art, Trusted, military-grade products that leverage the most advanced commercial technologies.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical or business field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum Experience: 3+ Years in a technical project management role, showing responsibility of managing project to on time delivery,
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, vendors and management
  • Analytical, computer, math and problem-solving skills to be able to use software and to explain the software.
  • Organizational skills and time management skills to keep projects on track to the finish
  • Project managing skills to start projects and finish projects successfully
  • Experience with the following is a plus:
  • Oracle, Agile PLM
  • Atlassian tool suite including Jama, Confluence, and Jira
  • Power user of Microsoft Office tools, specifically MS Project
  • Work effectively individually and as part of a team across geographical locations
  • Excellent writing, spelling, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to travel approximately 10% of the time
  • Be a US Citizen and able to get a security clearance

This position requires you to have or obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
