Electric Connector Technology (ECT) is a connectivity solutions provider and is one of the largest RF cable/connector manufacturers in China. We are expanding globally and currently have openings in the US market. ECT manufactures RF connectors, cable assemblies, antennas, shield cans, and automotive connectors (Fakra).
Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-oriented and experienced Technical Project Manager with a solid background in cable and connector solutions for the mobile device and automotive industries. The ideal candidate will have strong technical execution capabilities and proven experience managing customer engagements, particularly with major OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers in the Bay Area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project management for cable and connector solutions, from concept through mass production.
- Act as the primary technical interface for key customers in the Bay Area, ensuring high satisfaction and alignment.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain to meet project schedule.
- Support customer RFQs, technical discussions, product validation, and change control processes.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, risk assessments, and ensure timely execution against critical milestones.
- Provide technical guidance on product requirements and ensure alignment with customer expectations.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and action plans clearly to both internal teams and external partners.
- Collaborate with global engineering and manufacturing teams to drive successful project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering..
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical project or program management.
- Understanding of cable and connector technologies used in mobile and/or automotive applications.
- Proven track record in customer-facing roles with major brand customers, OEMs, or Tier 1 suppliers—Bay Area experience strongly preferred.
- Exceptional project coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with the full product development lifecycle, NPI processes, and manufacturing environments.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed, and multicultural organization.
- Strong coordination skills across global teams and time zones.
- Familiarity with automotive standards (e.g., IATF 16949, PPAP) or mobile industry processes is PLUS.
