POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Technical Product Manager supporting International Merchandising Technology for the world's largest retailer, you'll drive strategic initiatives to improve global merchandising capabilities through custom-built internal tools and cross-functional collaboration. You'll work closely with stakeholders across engineering, space and assortment planning, modular management, and vendor strategy to align product development efforts with business goals.This role plays a critical part in evolving how a global retailer plans and executes merchandising decisions at scale across international markets—supporting both operational efficiency and long-term platform strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define the roadmap for internal software tools that improve merchandising workflows and cross-market scalability
  • Prioritize feature development in collaboration with engineering and business leaders, aligning with organizational funding cycles and international business priorities
  • Translate business needs into actionable technical requirements that improve space planning, modulars, assortment, and vendor coordination
Cross-Functional Program Leadership
  • Partner with engineering, design, analytics, and vendor strategy teams to scope, validate, and deliver product capabilities
  • Coordinate planning and execution timelines across multiple international stakeholders
  • Support integration with internal systems, considering localization, compliance, and data model alignment
Execution and Delivery Management
  • Own the creation of product requirements documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Work with engineering leads to refine scope, manage dependencies, and track delivery progress
  • Drive Agile ceremonies and improve delivery cadence through structured process improvement
Operational Support and Stakeholder Alignment
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication between U.S.-based and international teams
  • Partner closely with the broader project/program team to align execution timelines, funding approvals, and business needs
  • Monitor progress and risk areas, reporting on milestones and coordinating cross-team resolutions
Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate internal tooling effectiveness and identify opportunities to streamline processes
  • Gather feedback from internal users and use data to inform iteration cycles
  • Support efforts to move from vendor-led to in-house software development for key merchandising systems

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in technical product management, preferably supporting enterprise or internal tooling
  • Proven experience working with engineering and program teams to scope and deliver complex systems
  • Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
Preferred:
  • Experience in merchandising, supply chain, or retail technology
  • Background in delivering internal software tools or operational platforms
  • Familiarity with data privacy, compliance, or localization in an international context
  • Experience working with globally distributed tech teams
