Job Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on technical leadership to the agile project team tasked with migrating MOVEit jobs to Snowflake.
- Implement codified and repeatable migration patterns for different complexity jobs from MOVEit to Snowflake. Extract, transform, and load logic to automate data collection and manage data processes/pipelines including data quality and monitoring.
- Design and build the migration factory with codified scripts and common plugins to accelerate and automate migration of jobs.
- Perform problem analysis for migrating complex configurations from MOVEit to Snowflake.
- Perform complex installation, configuration, customization, and tuning. Provide input on technical questions and problems while adhering to standards and procedures.
- Assist in strategic planning, architecture, and design. Make recommendations on functional and business requirements.
Skills and Experience Required:
Required:
- 5+ years of Data Architecture/Data Warehousing experience.
- Expert knowledge of Snowflake with more than three (3) years of hands-on experience.
- Exposure to data warehousing and various ingestion patterns from multiple sources.
- Hands-on experience in Snowflake migration projects with a good understanding of Snowflake architecture and pipeline building for ingestion.
- Expertise in Snowflake data modeling, ELT using Snowpipe, stored procedures, and standard DWH and ETL concepts.
- Knowledge of Snowflake features like resource monitors, RBAC, virtual warehouses, query performance tuning, Zero Copy Clone, and Time Travel.
- Experience in data migration to Snowflake cloud data warehouse.
- Proficiency in SQL and SQL analytics.
- Knowledge of communication and data handling protocols (e.g., AS2, PGP/GPG, S/MIME, HTTPS, FTPS/SFTP/SCP/OFTP, POP3/SMTP, Web Services/SOAP/REST, WebDAV).
- Understanding of industry data standards (e.g., ACH, ANSI X12, EDIFACT, HIPAA, RosettaNet, SWIFT, TRADCOMS).
- Experience with .NET/Java frameworks and solutions.
- Experience with enterprise database technologies like Oracle RAC, DB2, MS SQL Server.
- Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, and security standards.
- Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
