Position Overview

We're looking for an experienced and proactive Technical Buyer to join our team and take the lead on sourcing materials, equipment, and services that support our engineering and manufacturing projects. In this role, you'll manage the full procurement process—from getting quotes to placing orders and ensuring on-time delivery.

You'll work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams, using tools like NetSuite to help streamline and track purchasing activity. This is a key role for someone who enjoys working across teams, building strong vendor relationships, and driving improvements in how things get done.

What You'll Do

• Own the purchasing process for assigned projects, from start to finish.
• Request and review quotes, compare pricing, and recommend the best sourcing options.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery timelines with suppliers.
• Create and manage purchase orders in NetSuite, keeping everything aligned with project goals.
• Keep lead times, costs, and delivery information accurate and up to date.
• Help identify and onboard new suppliers to support current and future needs.
• Stay on top of order status and follow up with vendors to keep projects on schedule.
• Look for ways to cut costs, improve vendor performance, and streamline processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to support quote tracking and communication.
• Support the Engineering team with NS responsibilities.
• Pitch in on other related tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves:

• 5+ years of experience in procurement or technical buying.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, quality, and production teams.
• Proven ability to issue RFQs and purchase orders confidently.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience using NetSuite or similar ERP software.
• Comfortable working with BOMs and technical drawings.
• Highly organized with great attention to detail and time management.
