Position Overview

The Technical Advisor provides technical support across all LWE departments, Liebherr Ehingen, and customers. Responsibilities include providing technical information for new crane deliveries, coordinating with Technical Coordination Supervisors for scheduling and dispatching workers, work crews, spare parts, and equipment for installation, service, or emergency repairs. The role involves customer interaction to address inquiries and resolve complaints. This is an in-office position based in Newport News, VA, or Houston, TX.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with supervisors to schedule and dispatch personnel and equipment based on customer needs.
  • Provide technical documentation and support to sales, service, and customers.
  • Inform customers about crane operations and modifications.
  • Interpret technical procedures and resolve customer inquiries.
  • Analyze problems and implement technical solutions.
  • Support sales by assessing customer needs for equipment and options.
  • Maintain records of customer interactions and complaints.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and notify them of updates or modifications.
  • Refer unresolved issues to appropriate departments.
  • Complete administrative tasks related to customer records.
  • Oversee quality standards and safety procedures.
  • Manage hazardous waste disposal following safety regulations.
  • Qualifications
    • Associate's degree or equivalent, or 5+ years related experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Excellent communication skills across all staff levels.
    • Customer service experience.
    • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
    • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
    • Ability to multitask professionally.
    • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
    • Valid driver's license and passport.
    • Availability to work nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
