Tech Systems Lead Engineer

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of our Epic infrastructure while engaging in projects that drive clinical and operational excellence.

The Tech Systems Lead Engineer will provide long-range technical planning and direction for the organization's IT systems and networks. The role involves leadership and coordination for complex, multi-phase projects to ensure hospital computer systems and network goals are met.
Required Qualifications :
- Minimum of seven years of IT experience, including experience in multiple technologies, multi-server environments, system and network services with security, networking principles and design, system engineering, and TCP / IP.
- Ability to mentor and train coworkers.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, management, information systems, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong customer focus.
- Experience in software/hardware troubleshooting and server configuration.
- Knowledge of server operating systems, Active Directory management and security, backup and restoration, and Data Center installation processes.
- Knowledge and application of Active Directory.
- Ability to be on-call 24/7 as required.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with SAN environments like IBM XIV, HP XP, HP EVAs, HP x9000s, HHP P4xxx, iSCSI switches, and Brocade directors.
- Experience in system/network engineering, multi-server and multi-protocol environments, Active Directory, Citrix, VMware.
- Networking principles and TCP / IP knowledge.
- Cache or UNIX experience may be required as assigned.
- Microsoft MCSE or Citrix CCA certification preferred.
- Experience in healthcare environment preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
- Experience with Windows Server, PCs, networking, VMWare, Citrix, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL, Oracle, SAN, server blades.
- IIS skills preferred.
