In this position, the Team Director will lead a team of engineers and technicians designing and producing traffic and ITS engineering projects. Responsibilities include managing, analyzing, designing, and implementing projects such as traffic impact studies, traffic operations studies, capacity analysis, traffic signal design, ITS design, signal timing, signing, striping, lighting, and traffic control plans.

As a consulting engineer, excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Working knowledge of traffic analysis software (Synchro, HCS, ArcGIS, VISSIM, TransCad) is essential. An understanding of local agency rules and regulations, technical specialization, great client service capability, and proactivity are necessary for qualification.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in our in-house staff learning and development program, MOORELearning.

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering (transportation emphasis preferred)
• Kansas or Missouri P.E. required (NCEES preferred)
• PTOE or ability to obtain within one year
• 8+ years of industry experience
• Good working knowledge of traffic analysis software, including Synchro, HCS, ArcGIS, VISSIM, TransCad
• Knowledge of State and local rules, regulations, standards, and procedures is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
