Early Childhood TEACHERS ASSISTANT NEEDED: Looking for Early Childhood Education teacher assistant for infant/preschool classroom who possess the following qualities:

PERSONAL SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS:

-- Self-motivation and creativity in developing activities for children

REASONING ABILITY:

-- Ability to interpret and carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral format

-- Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to an emergency situation or crisis

-- Ability to follow directions

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

-- Ability to exercise good personal hygiene habits and exercise cleanliness in the classroom at all times

Minimum requirements prior to hire:

1)Minimum of 1 year experience in the early childhood education or related field is a plus

2)Must complete Department of Investigation Fingerprinting , Dept. of Education Fingerprints , State Central Register Clearance , and Completion of a Medical Form by a Licensed Physician

3)Provide 3 written reference letters

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site position located in Staten Island, NY as a Teaching Assistant at 4 Angels Day Care Inc. The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for assisting teachers in planning and implementing activities and lessons that promote the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth of children. They will also help to create a safe, nurturing environment that encourages children's learning and growth.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in a classroom or daycare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members
  • Understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
  • Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field is a plus
