Overview
Our client is one of the largest and most established European-based financial institutions, offering a wide range of retail and commercial banking services. Its operations span personal banking, lending, insurance, and investment services, delivered through several well-known subsidiary brands.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and review of all income tax returns and other income tax reporting documents for all businesses within North America.
- Complete all income tax estimates and the establishment of accurate income tax provisions.
- Interpret external market developments and statutory regulations ensuring effective policies and procedures are developed.
- Understand the products and services provided to customers and the relevant tax implications.
- Participate in projects for various business divisions and evaluate financial costs and benefits.
- Provide input to business divisions to identify and implement initiatives to enhance business performance.
- Responsible for knowing, understanding, and aligning governmental rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA required.
- 7-10 years of federal, state, and local income tax experience.
- Experience at a public accounting firm preferred.
- Experience with OneSource or other tax software.
- Experience with US tax rules that apply to US branches of foreign banks.
Salary Range
$160,000-$180,000
