Tax Managing Director (High-Net-Worth)We are partnering with a fast growing, national public accounting firm, to help them find a Managing Director of High-Net-Worth tax to lead their Greenwich, CT office. This is a unique opportunity in that it includes acquiring a strong book of business due to the impending retirement of a Partner with the firm. • Lead client engagements and manage HNW relationships, including coordination with family office staff, investment advisors, and legal teams.
• Provide consulting, compliance, and advanced tax planning services to high net worth individuals, families, and their entities.
• Identify and implement tax planning strategies tailored to complex client needs.
• Guide and manage IRS and state tax audits.
• Serve as a key advisor to clients and be recognized as a thought leader in the HNW space.
• Participate in new business development through networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
• Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
• Design and deliver technical training on individual, estate, and trust tax topics.
• Take on internal leadership roles through committee participation or team leadership responsibilities.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
• Active CPA license (or equivalent credential such as JD or EA).
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in public accounting or a closely related field.
• Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting strongly preferred.
• Deep expertise in federal and state individual income taxation, gift and estate tax planning, and charitable giving strategies.
• Proven ability to deliver consultative, client-focused solutions to ultra-high net worth individuals and family offices.
• Experience working with trusts, private foundations, and closely held entities.
• Demonstrated success in business development and expanding client relationships.
