Base pay range

$200,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr

An Investment Management firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as a Tax Director. This role will follow a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and coordinate tax engagements for individual, high-net-worth, and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
• Supervise the preparation and review of tax returns to ensure precision and adherence to local, state, and federal tax laws.
• Deliver customized tax planning and compliance strategies aligned with each client's financial goals.
• Cultivate and sustain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and offering forward-thinking tax guidance.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation, industry developments, and best practices to maintain compliance and offer cutting-edge solutions.
• Perform other duties, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of continuous experience in public accounting or family office tax services.
• Master's degree in Taxation or active CPA certification.
• Proven expertise in tax regulations with in-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws.
• Extensive experience serving high-net-worth individuals, with specialization in personal, trust, estate, gift, and charitable taxation, as well as exposure to flow-through entities, partnership taxation, and corporate tax matters, including multi-state SALT and franchise tax issues.
• Skilled in reviewing tax returns for affluent families, their trusts, investment vehicles, and privately held businesses—including those in hedge funds, private equity, financial services, and real estate sectors.
