This is a full-time benefited position. Must possess a valid driver's license free of alcohol or drug violations. Employer conducts pre-employment drug screen and background check. Job Summary: The TANF Family Housing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and administering housing assistance services for families receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). The role involves assessing housing needs, providing support and resources, ensuring compliance with program requirements, and working collaboratively with various stakeholders to enhance housing stability for TANF families. Key Responsibilities: Client Assessment and Case Management:

  • Conduct SPDAT Assessments with potential TANF clients to determine and prioritize eligibility
  • Complete assessment with potential TANF clients for employment and housing history
  • Enter client and all family members information into HMIS and TEVS within 4 days of client receiving assistance
  • Ensure confidentiality in all communications - both written and oral
  • Develop and implement individualized housing plans in collaboration with clients.
  • Provide ongoing case management, including regular check-ins and updates to ensure housing stability.
  • Keeps detailed spreadsheet of client assistance including back rent payments, rental deposits, and utility assistance
  • Follow up bi-weekly with TANF clients to assist on path to self-sufficiency, documenting case notes to client file
The EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit) Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and coordination of the EITC program, which provides free tax assistance to low-to-moderate-income individuals and families. The Coordinator will recruit, train, and supervise volunteers, ensure compliance with IRS regulations, and oversee the delivery of high-quality tax preparation services. This role involves significant interaction with community members, volunteers, and partner organizations. Program Management:
  • Develop and implement the EITC program strategy, goals, and objectives.
  • Oversee operations of the ETIC site, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient service
  • Supervise volunteers ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance
  • Ensure Compliance - make sure all procedures comply with IRS standards and guidelines.
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of EITC sites
  • Demonstrate professionalism and respect in all interactions with clients and team members
Outreach and Marketing
  • Promote ETIC to raise awareness in Carbon, Emery, Grand and San Juan County (some travel required)
  • Distribute flyers, posters, and other promotional materials in Carbon, Emery, Grand and San Juan County
