POSITION PURPOSE: The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for delivering full-cycle recruiting support to the organization. This role partners with hiring managers across departments to assess staffing needs, identify and engage qualified candidates, coordinate the interview process, and manage offer communications. The position plays a key role in ensuring a positive candidate experience while helping the organization attract and retain top talent. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and prioritize recruitment for line and mid-level positions.
- Coordinate internal and external recruitment activities, including timely job postings, advertising, application screening, and pre-screening of qualified candidates.
- Ensure all job postings comply with local, state, and federal employment regulations as well as Aviva Health's policies and procedures.
- Maintain consistent and timely communication with candidates to foster a positive recruiting experience.
- Proactively identify any communication or coordination gaps with hiring managers and collaborate to design and implement solutions that improve and streamline recruitment processes.
- Provide relocation and community integration support by assisting candidates with resources related to housing, schools, healthcare, community amenities, and outdoor activities. Collaborate with local employers to share employment resources for candidates' family members when appropriate.
- Accurately update candidate statuses daily in the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
- Document recruitment activities by entering timely notes in each candidate's hiring profile.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to evaluate candidates and prepare offer letters in alignment with established compensation plans.
- Train and support hiring managers in using the applicant tracking system to review candidates and provide feedback.
- Work closely with the Senior Recruiter to provide recruiting updates, maintain effective communication with Operations, and contribute to the development and implementation of the Recruiting and Retention Plan.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of recruiting-related procedures and reporting.
- Serve as a backup to the Senior Recruiter in provider and senior-level recruitment activities.
- Participate in recruiting events, trainings, and seminars, with occasional travel required (company and personal vehicle use may apply).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of health care recruiting or administrative experience required.
- Human Resources certification preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with digital applicant tracking systems (ATS) preferred.
- The ability to represent Aviva Health to prospective candidates in a manner that reflects the organization's mission, values, and culture.
- Ability to recognize and assess the skills, strengths, and growth potential of current employees and applicants for open positions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage workload.
