Role and ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Chief Human Resource Officer, the PSOE Talent Acquisition Coordinator will deliver full life-cycle recruiting for the Paramount Network. They will use their abilities to source, screen, and prepare candidates for interviews with hiring School Administrators. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will serve as the public face of the company during the recruiting process, so they must ensure positive candidate experiences from the initial application through the onboarding process. They will manage job postings and candidate processing through Paramount's applicant tracking system. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator should maintain awareness of competitor practices, industry trends, and recruitment standards.Responsibilities
- Collaboratively consult with the Chief Human Resource Officer, Chief of Schools, and hiring Administrators to recommend strategies for identifying and recruiting potential candidates.
- Identify and report talent acquisition key performance factors.
- Meet bi-weekly with CHRO for 30-60-90 check-ins.
- Establish set office hours.
- Maintain a calendar of onsite school visits and community events visible to the HR team and COS.
- Coordinate job requisitions with hiring School Administrations and the Human Resource team.
- Manage job posts and candidate applications within the Paramount applicant tracking system.
- Manage candidate processing, including assisting with letter of intent drafting and distribution, through the HRIS or applicant tracking system.
- Maintain a working knowledge of state employment laws is expected.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. The candidate should be prepared to provide a writing sample.
- Display a working knowledge of personnel management and compliance practices.
- Develop other sourcing pools.
- Establish interviewing criteria to be approved by COS.
- Proactively create applicant pools and talent pipelines by posting job ads through job boards, social media, state employment agencies, professional associations, and employee referral programs.
- Evaluate applications, review resumes, conduct and maintain a record of reference checks, and complete initial phone interviews to establish a narrow candidate pool.
- Make recommendations to hiring Administrators on the top candidates for in-person interviews.
- Maintain reporting and compliance standards as identified by the CHRO.
- Actively participate in all recommended Community Partnerships and Community Events.
- Other duties as requested by the COS and CHRO
- Coordinate with COS to manage the Marian program planning for Paramount New Teacher Residency.
- Work with the Human Resource Manager to establish measurable deliverables for Data Dashboard reporting.
Job Requirements- Ability to advertise, screen, recruit, interview, and hire new employees.
- Knowledge of compensation and benefits to meet the long-range organizational goals and objectives of Paramount.
- Understand and recruit according to licensure and certification requirements for all positions.
- Capacity to contribute to techniques that source and attract qualified candidates, identify future staffing needs, and accurately assess and select the right candidates.
- Knowledge of contracts, such as non-disclosure agreements and service level agreements, will be helpful.
- Knowledge of the full life cycle recruitment process.
- A comprehensive knowledge of ethical and professional recruitment standards associated with employment in Public Education.
- Willingness and availability to travel locally and nationally at least 50% of the contract year.
Qualifications and Education RequirementsThe Talent Acquisition Coordinator will be thoroughly committed to the PSOE mission. Prior successful full-time recruitment experience in a similar setting is required. Concrete demonstrable experience and other qualifications include:
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of recruitment experience.
- Bachelor's degree in the field of Business Management, Education, or Marketing.
- A master's degree in a related field is preferred.
- A Valid Driver's license and a pristine driving record are required.
- Proven continued education that specializes in talent acquisition, management, and strategic planning to include sourcing and staffing, is required.
- Familiarity with Office applications, like Word and Excel, Google Docs, as well as popular social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills.
- Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to planning.
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
- Passion, idealism, integrity, grit, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed.
Preferred Skills- Direct experience with job screening, hiring practices, and talent acquisition.
- Demonstrated proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and human resource information systems (HRIS).
- Fluent Spanish speaker with reading and writing proficiency.
- Prior experience in charter schools.
- Knowledge of current community challenges and opportunities relating to the mission of the organization.
