Job Title: Talent Acquisition and Onboarding SpecialistDepartment: Human Resources Reports to: Associate Director of HRSalary Grade/Level/Family/Range: $66,950/year, Step I, FY 2024-25 Effective Date: 1-Jul-24FLSA Classification:Exempt / Salaried Job Summary: The Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Specialist is responsible for full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for Sunstone Way. This position drives strategic recruiting initiatives, enhances the employer brand, and ensures an exceptional candidate and new hire experience. This position is also instrumental in optimizing recruitment processes and ensuring compliance with applicable hiring regulations. Duties/Responsibilities:Recruitment and Talent Strategy
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, ensuring a steady pipeline of top talent
  • Develop long term strategies to support company growth
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop proactive hiring strategies
Job Postings, Candidate Screening and Onboarding
  • Write and post job ads and descriptions across internal and external platforms
  • Conducts phone screens and reference checks
  • Submits background check paperwork for all new hires.
  • Completes all onboarding paperwork and processes for every new hire
External Partnerships
  • Serve as the primary liaison for partner agencies and job boards
  • Represent Sunstone Way at career fairs and networking events
Compliance and Systems
  • Ensure recruitment and onboarding practices comply with all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Maintain accurate records in our HRIS (ADP) and perform regular audits
  • Work closely with training team to ensure a timely start for new employees
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.Preferred Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of talent acquisition and interviewing experience required. Non-profit recruitment experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring best practices
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ADP preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of job boards, recruiting platforms, and professional networking tools (i.e. Indeed, LinkedIn)
  • Experience in a union environment a plus
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, problem solve, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Attention to detail in all documentation necessary for success in this position.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a diverse group of candidates and staff.
  • Ability to assist new hires with setup of their profiles and submission of their documents in a kind and friendly manner.
  • Ability to navigate Office 365 products at a proficient level, primarily Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Excel.
Additional eligibility requirements:
  • Sufficient manual dexterity and physical ability to perform assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to pass a background check upon offer.
  • Must be able to work in a drug-free environment.
  • Regular and reliable attendance to all required shifts.
