GEA Group in York, PA is searching for a Systems Troubleshooter II to join our team! This role will provide issue resolution on complex electrical and mechanical equipment and components as it relates to the system and deliver it to customers or end users via phone or email and for other departments within service. The Troubleshooter documents issues and conversations with customers and company technicians for tracking issue resolution progress and learning opportunities and follows-up on all open issues as directed.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists supervisor and other system troubleshooters with accurate issue resolution and coordination of problem jobs involving company equipment

  • Provides excellent technical support via phone and email to customers and company technicians while using multiple computer programs to identify solutions at the compressor package level, displaying full knowledge of complex instruments and components, subsystems, and their relation to each other.

  • Assists in examining complex electrical and mechanical equipment issues and provides input for product and process improvements

  • Delivers recommendations and procedural instructions for routine maintenance, preventative measures, and standard / pre-defined repair interventions

  • Develops procedural instructions for new equipment and maintenance standards.

  • Documents issues and conversations with customers and company technicians for tracking issue resolution progress and learning opportunities and follows-up on all open issues as directed

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Your Profile / Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

  • Trade / Technical school certification refrigeration highly preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the refrigeration industry or related complex troubleshooting field.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude

  • Capable of reading P&IDs and electrical schematics

  • Complete knowledge of the refrigeration cycle and major system components and subsystems

  • Advanced knowledge of screw and piston type compressors and their packages

  • Advanced operational understanding and identification of mechanical and electrical components (ex: valve types, level control, etc)

  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to help drive decision-making, problem solving, and root cause analysis

  • Demonstrated strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP and CRM applications

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $66,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.

The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
