Systems Engineer - User Terminal Systems Development
Holt Executive are partnered with a technology and communications leader that provides reliable and secure satellite-delivered voice and high-speed data communications solutions to broadcast, telecommunications, corporate, and government customers worldwide. They are now developing a LEO constellation that will revolutionize global broadband connectivity for enterprise.
This is a critical position in the design and development of user terminal architectures for various environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design, development, and optimization of satellite user terminals and modems.
- Apply knowledge of the physical layer to develop modem technologies, and drive trade-space discussions on performance, cost, and network features.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure integration of modems with other terminal components.
- Develop and implement advanced signal processing algorithms.
- Analyze performance and review test data, including link budget analysis, to ensure specifications are met.
- Produce detailed design documentation.
- Lead the development and testing of prototype modem designs.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience with satellite communication systems, modem design, FPGA, and signal processing.
- Experience working with suppliers and stakeholders at all levels, with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink.
The candidate must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain relevant clearances.
This role offers a hybrid work model with 4 days in the office per week, with occasional travel expected.
