This position will join a team of engineers and technicians and provide expertise to various teams of engineers and technicians who test various equipment and systems at the Seneca Lake Test Facility in support of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Dresden, New York. This multi-disciplinary team is responsible for providing support to various customers. - Act at the on-site point of contact running an underwater acoustic communications system and providing underwater Acoustic knowledge and experience to the team of Government and Contractor employees.
- Maintain communications between managers, lead engineers, and working engineers to provide customer service, knowledge and experience.
- Attend meetings, track actions, and coordinate efforts between multiple projects and programs.
- Act as a liaison and main point of contact between multiple customers, contractors, and subcontractors.
Required education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, computer engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Two (2) years of programming experience.
- Ability to understand and write various programming languages (C, Java, Python, etc.).
Preferred education and experience:
- Experience specifically with undersea warfare systems and/or Navy training range systems.
- Underwater Acoustics Communication Systems experience.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to take a boat from main office to a large barge on SENECA Lake to perform efforts. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and lift equipment up to 30 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: The typical workday is eight hours in length. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, with concurrence from the supervisor. The employee must be available during the core work hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must account for the hours in a pay period to maintain full-time status. Telework:
