We are seeking a Systems Analyst – Quality Assurance (QA) with immediate availability that will thrive in a challenging and rewarding process-oriented environment in support of the U.S. Marine Corps Prepositioning Programs at Blount Island Command (BICmd). This position provides systems analysis, quality assurance, and validation support to ensure that logistics IT systems and planning tools (MCPIC, ICODES, iPRIME Suite) meet Marine Corps requirements and deliver accurate, mission-critical data.
Location:
- This position is located in Jacksonville, FL with potential for CONUS/OCONUS travel in support of Marine Corps Prepositioning Programs.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate Marine Corps logistics information systems (MCPIC, ICODES, iPRIME Suite) to ensure data accuracy, interoperability, and system compliance.
- Develop and implement QA procedures to validate squadron- and ship-level plans, container estimates, capability sets, and sustainment postings.
- Maintain hardware/software performance monitoring, evaluate system downtime, and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct system workload analysis and ensure interfaces between MCPIC and Authoritative Data Sources (e.g., GCSS-MC, TFSMS, OIS) are accurate and efficient.
- Review and validate plans change requests, system modifications, and new software/COTS product integrations.
- Define system problems, develop requirements, and prepare program specifications for programmers and developers.
- Work with functional users and planners to develop alternative solutions, ensuring alignment with Marine Corps Prepositioning Objectives and operational requirements.
- Prepare and maintain detailed QA reports, system documentation, and test records for Government review.
- Coordinate with government stakeholders, developers, and planners to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies and quality issues.
- Provide technical input during Tailoring Conferences, OPTs, and MMC planning cycles to ensure planning data meets QA standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Certifications in Systems Analysis, QA, or IT certifications.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing, testing, and validating system performance.
Security Clearance:
- US Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security clearance at the minimum level of Secret
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Logistics, or related field.
- BA + 2–5 years of experience, HS + 6–9 years of experience in systems analysis, QA, or IT support.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with Marine Corps logistics IT systems (MCPIC, ICODES, GCSS-MC, TFSMS).
- Experience developing QA processes for logistics or DoD IT systems.
- Strong knowledge of system interfaces, workload analysis, and hardware/software performance tuning.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to define and resolve system discrepancies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting QA results to government leadership.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with developers, analysts, and planners.
