Job Description :

CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer 3 position for our client in Austin, TX.

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid Remote)

Duties:

  • Understand business objectives and challenges, identify alternative solutions, and perform cost/benefit analyses.

  • Analyze user requirements, operational procedures, and system problems to automate processes or improve existing systems.

  • Collaborate with personnel from various organizational units to identify operational issues and define specific input/output requirements, including data formats and reporting structures.

  • Develop detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to design, develop, or modify computer programs.

  • Review system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to assess feasibility of new or modified programs.

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions, fit-gap analyses, and business process testing for PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 Asset Management and related systems.

  • Perform hands-on end-to-end integration testing with third-party interface systems.

  • Prepare documentation, support training efforts, and perform other project-related tasks as required.

  • Coordinate with a large team using MS Teams, SharePoint, and other collaboration tools.

  • Work occasional off-hours based on project needs and phases.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 Asset Management module.

  • Proficiency in business analysis, including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and workflow documentation.

  • Experience with end-to-end system integration testing and external interface validation.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and MS Teams.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with large, diverse teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving project needs.

Experience:

  • 8 years – Required: Business Analyst experience with PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) on implementation or upgrade projects.

  • 8 years – Required: PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 Asset Management expertise.

  • 8 years – Required: Conducting formal work sessions and functional analysis presentations.

  • 8 years – Required: Hands-on end-to-end system integration and external interface testing.

  • 8 years – Required: Microsoft O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

  • 2 years – Required: MS Teams and large-team channel communication.

  • 4 years – Preferred: Public sector experience (Federal, State, or Local Government).

  • 2 years – Preferred: CPA CAPPS Financials experience.

  • 2 years – Preferred: PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 General Ledger and Commitment Control.

  • 2 years – Preferred: SharePoint experience.

  • 1 year – Preferred: Jira experience.

  • 1 year – Preferred: Scrum framework experience.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
