Bachelor's Degree 2. Knowledge of and familiarity with: Power School, SQL, Oracle, Access, Object Reporting, Google Apps, Apple iPad MDM 3. Knowledge of Munis software, including implementation and conversion from a previous software application 4. Educational preparation in the area of systems administration, together with proven on-the-job skills and knowledge of personal computers 5. Three to Five years of experience in desktop/server and networked systems support 6. Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Server/Client 7. Coding experience is a beneficial but not required 8. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable REPORTS TO: Information Technology ManagerJOB GOAL: To provide technical support for all computer systems within the school district. To support a wide variety of system programs and to suggest ways to centralize and coordinate them. Analyze, design and troubleshoot data systems and server settings PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Support East Hartford Public Schools information and network systems 2. Monitor systems with appropriate tools such as SQL toolkit to provide proactive management of databases 3. Support major district information systems with programming and report writing, as well as problem resolution with vendors. 4. Hold staff training on District-wide applications as needed. 5. Assist in state reporting requirements. 6. Ensure accuracy of data and information systems. 7. Learn fundamental operations of commonly used software, hardware, and other equipment. 8. Follow standard operating procedures; accurately log all work orders using tracking software. 9. Become familiar with Board of education policies, services, and staff. 10. Other duties as assigned by supervisor GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Friendly presence and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others. 2. Ability to provide technical support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor. 3. Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it. 4. Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; remain productive during slow times, be able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations. 5. Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision. 6. Working knowledge of common operating systems and software applications 7. Adequate familiarity with equipment found in East Hartford Public Schools TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve-month year. Salary and work year as established in the Local 2727 contract. EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Non-Certified Personnel.
