Job Description :
Objective of the Position: Maintain overall functionality of IT infrastructure at the corporate office and oversee that those standards are upheld at all facilities in the Americas. Ensure systems are updated, secure, and that life cycles are managed. Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures that
  • Maintain and monitor overall IT infrastructure in the Americas ensuring stability and security for servers, storage, and network systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems and network infrastructure.
  • Support the IT staff at all BU America's locations with maintaining their IT infrastructure and supporting escalated issues.
  • Manage and maintain backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.
  • Manage asset life cycles for hardware, software, and licensing.
  • Act as a liaison between local users / it and global IT teams as necessary. Participate in global meetings.
  • Support implementation of new projects in the Americas.
  • Continuous improvements of systems, services, and processes
  • Work with vendors and suppliers when needed.
  • Creating purchase requisitions for IT hardware, software, and services.
Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures that
  • Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
  • Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
  • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all ENA polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirement Profile:Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of IT related work experience working with end users, Windows, servers, networking, etc.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working for an automotive manufacturing supplier.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure/networking, Windows, VMware, servers, networking infrastructure
  • Troubleshooting skills with all IT related software/hardware
  • Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency with various operating systems
  • Hands on experience with virtual and cloud environments
  • Solid understanding of networking and security concepts
  • Experience with storage and backup solutions
  • Knowledge of monitoring and automation
  • Analytical- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures
  • Business Acumen- Understands business implications of decisions.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.
  • Project Management- Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.
