Systems Administrator - MedStar Health : Job Details

Overview of Systems Administrator roles and responsibilities:*Note, this position may require up to 15% travel within CONUS.Will be responsible for hardware, software, and network troubleshootingWork with leadership & teammates to develop and/or maintain systems documentation in support of system builds, application installs & other operations proceduresAssist with security audits & work with staff to remediate any & all security findings with supported systems & applicationsConfigure & monitor backups in accordance with applicable regulations, policies & guidanceWork with cross-functional IT Teams to ensure effective execution of servicesProvide tiered support for applications and services both cloud and on premiseAct as systems administrator for applications and servicesAssist in pre-install tasking like scoping, sizing, planning, networking, etc. for potential new applications and servicesSupport integration efforts between applications and services (APIs, Data File Transfer, etc.)Develop application/service training, as needed, for usersMaintain documentation for support, usage, and compliance for applications/servicesRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or Information Assurance/Cyber Security. Degree may be substituted for four years of experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience with DoD networksRequired Clearance:Must an Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance (with SCI Eligibility); US Citizenship required.Required Skills:Experience with planning, implementing, administering, and securing network infrastructure including network security appliances, routers, managed switches, servers, workstations, peripherals, cabling and other equipmentExperience with TCP/IP protocols and advanced IT networking concepts requiredExperience with Nutanix Hybrid multi-cloud preferredExperience with network monitoring and log aggregation tools preferredWorking knowledge of several of the following technologies: Microsoft Windows, Linux, Solaris, Cisco IOS, Active Directory, DNS, VMWare, Disk SAN, security assessment tools and network hardware and media (blade-servers, fiber- channel, and network cabling)Experience implementing, upgrading, and administering Windows servers, including Active Directory, SQL Server and Hyper-V requiredExperience with workstation imaging and deployment solutions and automated application deployment tools preferredRequired Certifications:Must have a DoD IAT Level II - DoD 8140 (Formally 8570) certifications (i.e., Security+)#LI-KC1#mtsi#SMD22Interesting Work:Our co-workers support some of the most important and critical programs to our national defense and security.Values:Our first core value is that employees come first.
