Remote work is not available. Linn County is seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to join our Health Services IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems and network administration, a keen eye for troubleshooting, and a commitment to ensuring high availability and performance of critical systems. Job Summary Installation and support of computer hardware, software, and other technology for the Health Department. Must be able to evaluate requirements presented by a department and determine the hardware, software and other technologies that will satisfy the needs presented, including obtaining information and quotes from vendors as needed. Will work to diagnose computer and server hardware problems, performing support to end-users, system maintenance, and repairs. Image new computer set-ups with onboarding of new employees to Health Department computers and systems. Onboarding, monitoring, and support of County issued cell phones. Completion of purchase requests for hardware, software, and other technologies to support the Health Department. Management of Microsoft 365 tenant. Minimum Qualifications An Associate's degree in a computer related discipline from an accredited institution and three years of experience supporting networked computer systems or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience, education and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the work described. Skilled in analyzing and correcting desktop hardware, software, and networking problems. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to learn and adapt to current and changing technologies. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical staff. Ability to establish and maintain a harmonious working relationship. Work on occasion will need to be performed after hours and weekends as per HIT Supervisor's request. Must be able to pass a criminal history check. Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid Oregon driver's license with an acceptable driving record that meets the County's requirements is required. This is a non-supervisory position. Lead work and coordination of work of others is not a typical function assigned to this position. Incumbents in this position may provide training and orientation to newly assigned personnel. Linn County does not offer VISA sponsorship. Within three days of hire, applicants will be required to complete the US Department of Homeland Security's I-9 form confirming authorization to work in the United States.
