We have an exciting opportunity for System Verification and Validation Engineer to join HX5, a teammate company.

The System Verification and Validation Engineer will:

  • Develop test cases and scripts for software verification efforts
  • Integrate software from various vendors
  • Develop tests for dynamic physical systems
  • Perform data analysis and utilize simulation techniques
  • Perform other duties as required

Requisition Qualifications:

This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position is advertised.

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working as part of an Integrated Product Team to develop and test high-criticality software
  • Experience with highly autonomous systems
  • Experience with web-based collaboration tools
  • Proficiency with C/C++ coding in a Linux environment
  • Experience with agile software development
  • Quick learner and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills; strong customer service attitude

Requisition Preferences:

  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python
  • Experience developing software across the full development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of NASA Gateway Spacecraft systems and software
  • Experience with web-based collaboration tools like JIRA, Confluence, Slack, SharePoint
  • Understanding of safety and flight-critical software development standards

Essential Functions

Work Environment: Usually office-based, but may involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

Physical Requirements: Sitting or standing for extended periods (90%), lifting up to 25 lbs. (5%).

Equipment and Machines: Standard office equipment (PC, phone, printer, etc.).

Attendance: Regular attendance is critical; flexibility to work outside normal hours during peak periods.

Other Essential Functions: Maintain professional behavior, appropriate grooming and dress, ensuring safety and teamwork.
