Objective: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Systems Support Specialist to join our team. The Systems Support Specialist will play a key role in supporting our internal technology operations, including help desk support, system automations, dashboard creation, employee onboarding/offboarding, and other day-to-day IT functions. Key Responsibilities:System Support
- Respond to and resolve technical support requests via ticketing system (hardware, software, network, access issues, etc.)
- Provide remote support to employees as needed
- Assist in creating automations and workflows to improve operational efficiency
Dashboards and Reporting
- Build and maintain dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Snowflake, etc.
- Generate regular system performance and incident reports
User Onboarding & Offboarding
- Set up and decommission user accounts, email, access permissions, and devices
- Maintain records of IT asset assignment and user configurations
Cybersecurity Support
- Conduct security awareness tasks such as phishing simulations
- Assist in monitoring suspicious activity and reporting incidents
Systems Maintenance
- Perform routine software updates, backups, and basic troubleshooting
- Support the implementation of new tools and systems
Documentation & Process Improvement
- Document IT procedures and user guides
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within business systems operations
Required Education/Skills/Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Asana, Freshservice, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of automation tools (Zapier, Power Automate, etc.)
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Google Sheets, etc.)
- Understanding of user provisioning in cloud environments (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, etc.)
- Knowledge of coding languages is a plus
- Foundational understanding of cybersecurity best practices
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Location Notes: This is a primarily remote position. However, this person must reside within 2 hours of the Omaha, Nebraska area as some travel to Omaha will likely occur. We approximate that this travel will take place roughly 1-2 times per month. This travel is for managing of assets such as laptops and mailing out any equipment we have on hand when needed. Benefits:
