Responsibilities
- Coordinates the consolidation and standardization of Supply Chain Management services across the system including development of SOPs, policies, and education.
- Responsible for monitoring and providing adequate inventory levels (Par Level Management)
- Manages the operations of multiple departments, inpatient and outpatient facilities for supplies and equipment provided by Central Supply.
- Ensures supervisors and staff provide the highest quality of care in supply management and that all supply areas meet The Joint Commission, federal, state, and local recommended practices.
- Designs and evaluates processes to improve supply distribution to ensure positive patient care results.
- Determines the appropriate staff mix for departments and develops processes to screen, interview, hire, train and maintains the competency of all department staff.
- Collaborates with Supply Chain Service Line Director in developing the level of patient services and day to day operations of the departments.
- Responsible for EOC (Environment of Care), VAT (Value analysis team) and Emergency Preparedness committees at each facility ensuring the appropriate staff are educated on any processes that need facilitated.
Education Bachelor's Degree preferred. Licenses and Certification Central Supply Certification Experience and Skills Technical Experience: 5 years in Hospital Central Supply/Materials Management Supervisory Experience: 2 years Physical Activities Intermittent hand manipulation required Intermittent lifting and carrying of 50 pounds. #IND123
