System Engineer – MSP Experience Required

Location: Houston, TX | Hybrid

Compensation: $85K–$100K + Profit Sharing

Are you a seasoned Systems Engineer ready to drive impactful technology projects and modern infrastructure for growing businesses? A leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Houston is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator L3 to join their expert team.

You'll lead solution design and project execution for Microsoft-based environments while serving as a technical escalation point for complex issues across client infrastructure.

What You'll Do:

• Own deployments for Microsoft infrastructure: Windows Server, Office 365, Azure
• Implement and support virtualized environments: VMware and/or Hyper-V
• Lead modernization efforts by designing tailored infrastructure solutions
• Serve as Tier 3 support, mentoring L1/L2 engineers and troubleshooting advanced issues
• Perform firewall configurations and contribute to network security improvements
• Partner directly with clients to assess needs and implement smart, scalable IT strategies

What You'll Bring:

• 5+ years of hands-on IT engineering experience
• 2+ years of MSP experience required — this is non-negotiable
• Deep expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Windows Server (2012–2022)
• Strong skills in VMware or Hyper-V virtualization
• Working knowledge of firewall deployment, security best practices, and root-cause analysis
• Clear, client-friendly communication and the ability to lead projects confidently
