Position Summary

MITS Project Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end execution of client infrastructure projects, including the design, configuration, installation, testing, and thorough documentation of network environments. This role requires a deep understanding of modern IT systems and a proactive approach to delivering tailored, scalable solutions that align with client needs and industry best practices. Project Engineers play a key role in ensuring seamless deployments, minimal disruption, and long-term reliability of IT infrastructure.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Coordinate with vCIO to design project statements of work (SOW).
• Configuration and Installation of Network Hardware.
• Quality Control and documentation of all project implementations.
• Design and implement data migrations for on prem and virtual environments.
• Installation of Software.
• Discovery / consultation of existing client environments.
• Interact with client end users and points of contact.
• Coordinate with vendors and 3rd party contractors to complete specific tasks.
• Assist in high level technical escalations and troubleshooting.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 3+ Years of IT Service Experience or technical experience.
• Travel to customer sites will be required, so a Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation and a clean driving history.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Strong Understanding of Network Infrastructures.
• Experience with installing and deploying network equipment such as switches, firewalls, BDR systems, and wireless access points.
• Demonstrates the ability to achieve established KPI's, with a focus on sustaining at least 90 billable hours monthly to support operational goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in data migration.
• Experience in network device configuration and deployment (EI: firewalls, switches, access points).
• Experience in BCDR / BDR device configuration and deployment.
• 2+ Years of MSP specific experience.
• Network + Certification.
