And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.We are seeking a passionate and motivated engineer to join a team that owns and operates a number of critical infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate would be innovative and have great problem-solving and analytical skills. You must be very comfortable and confident working on Linux systems. You must have very strong knowledge of operating system and networking fundamentals. You understand TCP/IP and other common network protocols. You are proficient with at least one high-level scripting language (such as Python, Ruby, or Perl). You should have a bias toward automation and a track record of creating automated solutions. You have experience operating distributed systems and diagnosing and resolving complex problems. You pay attention to detail and solve problems at their root.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.- Strong understanding of UNIX/Linux operating systems. Practical scripting experience in using shell scripting, Perl, Python, or Ruby to systematically manage devices and systems via APIs.- Experience with common networking protocols and services including TCP, UDP, DNS, and HTTP. Robust troubleshooting and analytical skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with industrial electrical and mechanical systems. Solid understanding of Linux performance tuning and problem diagnosis. Proficiency in more than one high-level scripting language (Perl, Python, Ruby).- Experience working in mission-critical, operations support environments amongst geographically dispersed teams. Common infrastructure configuration management solutions. Deep experience with system and application monitoring, software distribution, patching, and maintenance. Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle.- Proven ability to operate effectively in high-pressure situations and successfully handle multiple competing priorities. Ability to interact with other teams to diagnose and solve technical problems.- Experience driving large, cross-organization initiatives. Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive. Ability to make concrete progress in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge.- Experience with vulnerability risk and impact assessment. Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment.

The base pay for this position ranges from $94,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,900/year in our highest geographic market.
