Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a System Administrator II to support primarily Windows and Linux desktops and services at a major national laboratory. Responsibilities:Windows Desktop & Server System Administration including: End-User Application SupportSystem SetupActive Directory SupportAccount ManagementFile servicesNetwork ConfigurationApplication Hosting Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in an IT Related field.In lieu of degree, 6 years of relevant experience is acceptable.U.S. Citizenship is required. Must have an active U.S Department of Energy Q security clearance100% Onsute due to all classified system supportExperience with Data Storage Systems and associated technologies: SAN, NAS, RAID, LUNs, Snapshots, Replication, etc.Familiarity with Firewall technology & management of private LANs/networksFamiliarity with network protocols and network management technologiesSkill utilizing software diagnostic tools and the ability to conduct appropriate troubleshooting processes and conduct appropriate upgrades.Ability to understand the application and utilization of software packages, maintain accurate records.Ability to research, assemble, and evaluate information or data regarding industry practices or applicable regulatory changes and recommend sound, practical solutions to complex issuesAbility to define systems requirements based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms.Ability to define technical standards and functionality tests, and to develop specifications, prototypes, or initial user guides.
