Overview

Location: Austin, Texas metropolitan area. Base pay range: $40.00/hr - $50.00/hr.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to local hands-on and remote employees for hardware, software, and networking issues on their laptops and mobile devices.
  • Assist in the IT asset life cycle refresh process for new hires and existing employees including imaging, configuring, and migrating to new systems.
  • Assist in various IT functions such as hardware and software installations and rolling out new systems to end users/groups.
  • Maintain passwords, data integrity and file system security.
  • Manage logistical aspects of laptop and accessory distribution at the Austin, Texas location including asset management, inventory management, shipping and receipt of hardware.
  • Retire and securely dispose of IT assets as needed.
  • Develop, document, implement and communicate standard operating procedures and instructional guidelines for IT teams and end users.
  • Participate in new software or hardware testing, including detailed technical feedback.
  • Assist in maintenance of network equipment, phones, and teleconference equipment.
  • Assist other teams within the Information Technology organization with the support of their projects, hardware and software.
  • Assist in the support of the computer room and data center operations arena.
Qualifications
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Fully proficient with Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Applicants familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite; extensive experience with Excel and SharePoint is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of mobile operating systems (iOS and Android).
  • Thorough understanding of PC computer hardware and efficient troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships with colleagues and internal customers.
  • Ability to communicate highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel.
  • Ability to conduct training programs designed to educate users about basic and specialized applications.
  • Ability to multitask and transition quickly between multiple issues.
  • High level of accountability and ability to lead initiatives from start to finish with minimal supervision.
