Job Description :

We have an exciting opportunity for a System Administrator to support the Kessel Run Division, within the USAF Digital Directorate. The position is located at either Hanscom AFB or the Kessel Run office in Boston, MA. Responsibilities Build and maintain MS Windows client and server platforms. Assist with the development and administration of Cloud environments. Review and update current baseline configurations to optimize Kessel Run Windows and baseline integration, testing, and operations software/hardware subnet suites. Design, document, and maintain the PSF hardware and software baseline configurations. Assist Cyber Security staff with securing the PSF network configuration baseline and maintaining the Authority to Operate (ATO). Serve as the principal interface between baseline leads and other Kessel Run baseline technical teams. Participate in PMO meetings, providing input to the design, development, and configuration of current and future requirements for the PSF. Analyze and recommend network requirements. Maintain network architecture and infrastructure. Collaborate with Kessel Run technical teams to monitor network capacity and performance. Diagnose and resolve network problems. Recommend network backup and recovery procedures. Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating systems software, ensuring the application of cybersecurity policies and practices. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent, along with 2 years of relevant experience managing hardware/software baselines in the DoD community. Experience with G Suite or equivalent, GitLab, Active Directory, and 2FA (Okta preferred). Previous Cloud experience is highly desirable. Substantial knowledge of MS Windows client and server OS and MECM. Knowledge of HBSS and McAfee security solutions. Experience with USAF IT infrastructure on NIPRNet and SIPRNet. Experience writing and updating technical documentation. Working knowledge of WAN/LAN switching technology. Knowledge of network security measures (firewalls, IDS, ACLs, scanners). Understanding of DoD network identity mechanisms (digital certificates, smart cards, directory services). Familiarity with standard data networking protocols (TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP). Knowledge of DoD Regulations, Directives, and AFIs related to IT and Cyber Security. Must possess a final Secret Security Clearance to perform tasks on Kessel Run systems.
