Switcher Driver - Bassett Furniture : Job Details

** Position Description**

**Switcher Driver** Location **US-NC, Newton Upholstery Plant** **SWITCHER DRIVER**

The company switcher driver will transport trailers to and from two manufacturing plants by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities:

* Drives a switcher vehicle to transport 45' trailers from Plant to Plant.

* Delivering supplies between the two factories.

* Will assist in loading and unloading frame buggies and other supplies as needed.

* May be asked to switch out trailers from one dock door to another.

* Maintains telephone contact with supervisor to receive instructions

* Inspects equipment

* Positions, blocks and secures cargo during transit

* Drives forklift as required

* Follow all safety procedures while performing the position

Qualifications/Skills

* Experience driving and moving a 45' trailer

* Ability to work well in a team oriented environment

* Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 to 100 pounds.

* Clean driving record

* Must be 18 years of age or older

* CDL preferred but not required.
