We are seeking an experienced, visionary, and hands-on SVP Merchandising to lead our overall merchandising strategy and specifically the growth and evolution of our women's and accessories businesses. This role will be instrumental in defining and executing innovative merchandising strategies, aligning leadership, design and product development with brand vision, and driving profitability and customer engagement across all channels. The ideal candidate is business-savvy, entrepreneurial, and passionate about product and brings a mix of art and science to merchandising—pairing a deep understanding of the customer with data-driven insights, trend foresight, and brand intuition to elevate our expanding retail business.

What you'll do:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and lead the merchandising vision, ensuring alignment with Faherty's overall brand strategy, growth goals, and commitment to quality and timeless design
- Build and manage seasonal merchandise strategies and product assortments that reflect consumer insights, business performance, market opportunities, and sustainability considerations
- Partner closely with Design, Planning, Production, Wholesale, and Marketing to ensure cohesive seasonal storytelling and compelling product execution
- Foster cross-functional collaboration that embodies our 'All Together' approach to driving business success
Product & Assortment Planning
- Lead the line architecture, category mix, and pricing strategy to ensure a well-balanced and profitable assortment that maintains Faherty's commitment to quality
- Drive SKU productivity, sell-through, and margin improvement through effective assortment and lifecycle planning across our omnichannel business
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer data to identify white space opportunities and category expansion strategies
- Balance data-driven decision making with intuitive brand sensibility to create assortments that resonate with our customers
Customer & Market Insight
- Stay connected to the evolving needs of our customer and translate insights into product and category opportunities
- Monitor competitive landscape, emerging trends, and industry innovations to inform strategy
- Bring innovative approaches to understanding and serving our diverse customer base
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing merchandising team that embodies our 'Day One Passion' and is collaborative and results-oriented
- Foster a culture of innovation, curiosity, continuous improvement, and commitment to doing right by our people and community
- Build diverse, inclusive teams that reflect our values and bring varied perspectives to merchandising decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, sourcing, DTC, retail, and wholesale to deliver on business objectives
Financial Ownership
- Manage top-down and bottom-up seasonal financial targets, including category-level plans, initial markups, margin goals, and inventory productivity
- Partner with Planning on in-season performance analysis and reforecasting to maximize sales and minimize risk
- Drive sustainable growth strategies that support both short-term performance and long-term brand building
What you'll have:
- 15+ years of merchandising experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role focused on women's apparel
- Proven track record of driving revenue and margin growth in a lifestyle or premium brand
- Strong understanding of the contemporary market, trend forecasting, and consumer behavior
- Expertise in global merchandising and trend translation
- Deep product sensibility and passion for storytelling through assortments
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent analytical, financial acumen, and communication skills
- Highly collaborative with a hands-on, entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in team building and market approach
- Ability to balance data-driven decision making with intuitive brand sensibility
Additional nice to haves:
- Experience with sustainable or purpose-driven brands
- Omnichannel merchandising experience across DTC and wholesale channels
- Track record of building and scaling women's apparel categories

We aim to pay competitively for our size and industry. The base salary range for this position is $300,000 - $325,000 USD, but we will consider location, skill level and experience to determine the final offer.
