**Position:** SVP, Global Retail Business Development

**Location:** London or New York

**What this role entails:**

* Strategic, client-facing role to lead Global Business Development for Retail business line.

* Reporting to Naveen Jaggi President Retail Advisory.

* Sit on the JLL Global Retail Board to lead global business development.

* Require a good knowledge of the JLL international network, outside of the US (UK and EMEA in particular) and hold strong relationships with key stakeholders in the JLL international markets.

* Member of the JLL Global Retail Board responsible for spearheading international business development initiatives and increasing communication and cross-selling across the three regions; Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific.

+ Collaborate with Global Retail Board Chair to set strategy for Global Retail Initiatives

+ Work closely with Global Board members to identify cross-border opportunities within their markets

+ Lead, with Retail Research teams, the Global Cities data tracking initiative

+ Track international activity for revenue recognition

* Leadership role for the JLL Americas Retail business focusing on driving new international business to the USA and Canada; requirement to have a good retailer relationship base to leverage.

+ Continue to engage with international retailers, promote JLL Americas / global retail services and drive new tenant representation business.

+ Weekly calls with Ben Binns (EMEA Lead) and Michael Ball (China Retail Board representative) for international collaboration, market intel and retailer targeting.

* Required to have strong relationships with retail leads in every country that JLL has a retail presence required, to leverage client relationships and demonstrate connectivity to our clients.

* Launch and host a Quarterly Global Retail Market Leads call to strengthen global conversations.

* Lead the launch of a Global Marketing Campaign to promote JLLs global connectivity and expertise to our clients and prospective retailers, working with marketing teams to align our messaging. Host a monthly interview with international market leads.

* Create a Retail International Desk, provide both strategic market entry advice and transaction management services for JLL Americas retail clients wanting to expand overseas and partnering with brokers in local markets. Work closely with JLL International Desk, join weekly calls, and collaborate on client pitches.

* Develop and manage new global retail fee share incentive program to further promote cross-selling within JLL Retail globally, work with Regional Retail leads to ensure a fair and equitable program.

* Attend monthly meetings with EMEA and APAC Retail Leads to strengthen international relationships and identify global business opportunities for JLL.

* Attend weekly meetings with Americas National Retail Leads to identify business development opportunities.

* Develop and continue to maintain strong relationships with Retail leads in key Americas markets, demonstrate a good understanding of these markets and ability to work with them and their teams with JLL international clients.

* Support Agency and Capital Market teams with international expertise, join presentations to landlords to provide international market updates including tenants that are active in international markets. Provide international resource to Agency pitches to support landlord initiatives.

* Lease Restructuring team work alongside team leaders to identify international lease restructuring opportunities and support lease restructuring opportunities and clients overseas.

* Thought leadership continue to educate Americas teams about global retail and associated events. Work alongside the Retail Research teams to produce a monthly Trends in 2 Minutes email with global updates for brokers to educate and share with clients.

* Manage and maintain content for the Global Retail SharePoint, share global updates from EMEA and APAC, JLL research documents and anecdotal market intel from international markets.

**Qualifications:**

* Qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS accreditation) or equivalent, i.e. a US Brokerage License

* Undergraduate University Degree

* 5-8+ years of experience (post qualification)

* Business development experience pitching to Senior Level Executives and negotiating deals

* International experience required
