Surveyor/GPS Tech

Location: Denver, CO

Pay Range: $35-45 per hour depending on experience

SUMMARY: The surveyor - GPS Systems tech position is responsible for both site surveying and / or AMG activities on various company projects in multiple locations.

DUTIES:

* - Plan, organize and perform in-house surveying needs on construction projects.

* - Operate and troubleshoot Trimble global positioning system (GPS), electronic distance measuring (EDM), and standard surveying equipment.

* - Work with project managers and superintendents to produce and work with calculations in the field, read construction plans, and process survey data.

* - Perform office work for the field survey crews and data preparation for automatic machine control.

* - Build 3D surface grading models for construction staking and AMG equipment. CADD drafting.

* - Perform quality control on computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) data for surveying and AMG.

* - Proficient with performing Topographic surveys both field and office.

* - AMG functions and trouble shouting.

* - Work to resolve procedures, complaints, and construction issues.

* - Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.

* - Perform GPS site calibrations.

* - Site specific progress QTY verification Topo's and take offs.

* - Minimal Travel is necessary for some projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* - Preferred: 3 years' experience with 3D surface modeling, surveying, and AMG.

* - General civil construction knowledge.

* - Proficient Microsoft Office Skills.

* - Trimble Survey and Machine Guidance- Trimble Business Center - Trimble Robotics Experience.

* - Maintain insurable driving record
