Starting Salary: $20.28 - $25.86
Performs skilled technical work performing a variety of tasks involving the operation of sighting instruments/equipment. Work requires the application of technical
knowledge of instruments and techniques in the measurement/determination of distances, elevations, areas, angles, land boundaries, and other features of the earth's surface. Obtains data pertaining to angles, elevations, points, and contours using theodolite, electronic distance measuring equipment, and other surveying instruments. Work is performed under general supervision and reviewed while in progress and upon completion for technical adequacy and adherence to instructions given.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate, preferably with some coursework in mathematics, and six (6) months to three (3) years work experience in a survey party to include experience or training in the setup, adjustment, operation, and care of survey instruments; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Certified Survey Technician Level II (or higher) certification from the National Society of Professional Surveyors required.
